GEDORE U-20 Ratchets Design-oriented premium ratchets The release head simplifies attachment and removal of sockets. A ball locking device ensures a tight connection when the ratchet is in use. Slim ergonomic design 2-component handle comprising a hard plastic core with rubber sheathing for heavy industrial use. Hanging hole for easy-to-find storage. Easy change lever for clockwise and anti-clockwise movement. The shaft is made from high-grade chrome-vanadium steel making it ideal for heavy and constant use. Ratchets The properties of our hot-forged spanners also apply to our hot-forged ratchets. A special feature of GEDORE ratchets is their mechanism in which the pawl does not fully engage in the ratchet until full loading is reached. This process is invisible to the naked eye. The movement of the mechanism is in the infinitesimal range amounting to just a few hundredths of a millimetre. The perfect centred running of the ratchet under load achieved by this design is a significant quality and safety feature of our ratchets. There is no unnecessary stressing of the individual elements when the ratchet is turning with no load and no possibility of the mechanism tilting under load. This ensures fault-free under-load operation for the life of the ratchet. The design also has a positive effect on working safety. Tooth jumping that would lead to jerky movement is completely eliminated minimizing the risk of accidents.
